Secret Denver Hotel Pool

 

I received a tip about a hotel that was being rebuilt. The hotel is basically gutted, and the pool is in such a bad state of repair, it would be cheaper to destroy than to fix. Of course with my luck, Denver had a bunch of rain while I was visiting! I made a quick trip to the "bummy" hotel from my friends house, knowing that I would only have a short time to skate before going to Boulder, CO. As luck would have it, the deep end was full of water. Not having the time to bail it out, I skated a few minutes in the shallow, took some photos and headed back to my friends house.

The guy who gave me the tip said the hotel owner is "sort of" cool about letting people skate the pool. He doesn't want a bunch of kids or vandals to show up and destroy the hotel rooms his is remodeling or stealing him blind. I believe any day other than a Sunday would be a bust. The hotel needs a ton of work... this spot may be open for many months!
