Fontana, CA Skatepark

The Fontana, CA skatepark is huge! At 27,000+ sq ft, it has a ton of features. This park was the best thing in California's Inland Empire until Chino and Palm Springs built their parks. Designed by LRM and poured by the man himself, Wally Hollyday.

The good:
So you like bowls? Fontana has 4 different bowl areas.
The clover has depths of 4', 7', and 9'.
The intermediate ranges in depth of 5' to 7'.
The beginner is 3' to 5' deep.
The baby is 1' to 3' deep.
The street area is chocked full of stairs, ledges, fun boxes, rails, hips, and FLOW!
Other amenities are, lights, shaded rest areas, benches.

The bad:
Pads must be worn. Not that wearing pads are bad, but Fontana has had some head injuries in the past. CA law states that all skaters must wear full pads. The park is unsupervised, although the local 50 will drive by and ticket skaters not wearing their pads. I heard that in the past the local officials has closed down the park as punishment for everyone due to the high number of violators of the pad ordinance.

This is a skateboard/inline skate only facility. Sorry, no bikes, scooter, go-carts, etc allowed.

Directions:
Located at 16581 Filbert Avenue Fontana, CA
Take the 10 Fwy and exit at Citrus/Sierra and go north. Turn left (east) on San Bernardino. Take a right on Juniper. The park will be on the corner of Juniper & Filbert.
