Sarasota, FL Skatepark

Another great Team Pain creation. This 30,000+ sq ft skatepark has it all. Vert, oververt, street, a backyard pool, flow bowl, beginners area, etc. The best, it is free! All that is needed is for you to sign a waiver. The park is staffed. There are several staff members lurking inside the park, getting in the way.

The flow bowl ranges in depth from 3' to 11'. There is a mixture of steel and pool coping in the flow bowl. A mini halfpipe is located in the middle of the flow bowl. Overall it is a very clever use of space.

The pool was modeled after a real backyard pool located in CA. From what I was told, it is an exact replica, except for the loveseat in the deep end. The original loveseat is on a column. The pool is outfitted with a light, loveseat and deathbox in the deep end and stairs in the shallow. Full tile and pool coping all around. Depth ranges from 4' in the shallow to 8' in the deep end.

Team Pain made a cool street area with plaza style feature. Some of the features include, hubba style ledges, straight ledges, a 7 stair, rails, granite bench, manual pads, pyramids, etc.

The beginner area is a great place for the groms to get their transition legs. Mellow banks and corners and hips to learn on.

Location in Payne Park off of Laurel St, in beautiful downtown Sarasota, FL
